Profitability achieved, strong growth expected
Award-winning investment strategies with a long performance track record
Development into a personal finance coach and B2B solution provider
Frankfurt am Main, 14 November 2024– On 14 November 2014, Ginmon GmbH was founded as one of the first providers of automated investment portals in Germany, marking a milestone in the financial sector. Since then, the company has evolved from an initial “robo-advisor” to one of the leading providers in digital asset management and, with its proprietary wealth tech platform “apeiron”, has become the preferred partner for B2B white-label solutions for brokerage and asset management. With a positive business result, rare in the FinTech sector, founder and CEO Lars Reiner and his team can look back today on ten years full of innovation, growth, and high customer satisfaction.
Lars Reiner, Founder and CEO of Ginmon, is pleased: “In a market dominated by large banks and financial institutions, we were one of the early pioneers in our market with Ginmon. This has shaped the German and European FinTech sector and significantly contributed to opening up access to both professional asset management and self-managed investments for the purpose of long-term wealth building for many interested parties.”
Success Model: Independence and Continuous Growth
Over the years, Ginmon has consciously chosen not to work as a bank subsidiary or with large strategic investors. Instead, the company has grown predominantly from its own resources and, unlike others in this industry, with limited financing. This has allowed Ginmon to maintain its independence to this day and develop a flexible, customer-focused, and technology-driven platform that is consistently tailored to the needs of private investors. With managed assets (AuM) of around 400 million euros, Ginmon continues to be on a clear growth path in the direct business (B2C).
The scientifically based factor-investing strategies of the digital asset manager have significantly outperformed the DAX or the average German private investor portfolio since the beginning of 2016, with an average performance of up to 8.66% p.a. while experiencing noticeably lower fluctuations.
Profitability and Positive Outlook for the Future
In recent years, Ginmon has developed into a solid and stable company. “In the second half of 2024, Ginmon achieved profitability, and we look forward to the next quarters and years with a positive perspective. The goal is not only to increase profits through further growth in B2C and B2B but also to enhance the benefit for our customers by further developing our platform into a personal finance coach,” explains Lars Reiner, founder and CEO of Ginmon, regarding the future outlook.
Leading in Technology and Investment Strategy
Thanks to continuous investments in technological infrastructure and algorithm development, Ginmon is today a pioneer in asset management for private investors. An important partnership is the recently launched cooperation with bunq, the second largest European neobank, which relies on the wealth tech platform “apeiron” developed by Ginmon, to provide its approximately 15 million customers with white-label brokerage and digital asset management of the highest quality.
Furthermore, Ginmon has received multiple awards and test victories in independent tests for its sophisticated investment strategies, unique tax optimization, and fair fee model, including being ranked No. 1 by CAPITAL last year.
New Perspectives for Financial Consulting: Personal Finance Coach
In the coming years, Ginmon will increasingly develop into a personal finance coach. As a combination of technology-based platform and human consulting, Ginmon will help its clients effectively define and achieve their financial goals. This goes beyond traditional financial consulting: the focus is on the question: “What goals do I have with my money and for what purpose should I invest safely and profitably?”
A central concept in this further development is the fusion of behavioral finance and goal-based investing. Ginmon is thereby relying on scientifically proven concepts that will sustainably change investment saving in Germany. It is no longer just about “what to do with one’s money”, but rather about why or for what purpose one invests and which long-term life goals are to be achieved.
